the happening stories

OBS!

Day 1
Actually Day 1 was nothing much lah. The class was splitted up into two teams, Da Gama and Hilary and I'm in DA GAMA (:

We were briefed in this room and our instructor was Nadiah. I couldn't help but hurry sms 'cause I'll be off w/o my phone for 5 days and 4 nights D: We did self intro, took a group picture (someone please send me the picture) and off we go!

They took away our valuables and phones. Last phone call to Mum and last sms to Lumpy. Best choice 'cause he's ill so no need go school and I messaged him as though he going to die like that.

I'm so stupid -.-

We sat in a circle to pen down our fears, what we hope to achieve (individual) and what we hope to achieve (group) LOL.

Individual achievement: Most enjoyable, fun, thrilling camp ever.
Group achievement: Bring back experiences to share. Grow stronger together.
Fear: CANNOT SURVIVE W/O TECHNOLOGY D: (but I think I'll be okay)

And guessed what? I FACED MY FEAR! :DD

Yalah Christine here relies a lot of her TV, laptop and very importantly, her handphone.
Like without it she can die.

But she didnt (: HOHOHO I rawk.

We splitted the food, did some admin stuff like equipment check, learnt how to pitch tent, pitched our own tent, cook, bathe,

packing our bags for the next day's EXPEDITION. With Michelle (: and Maomaomaomaomaomaomao. I miss maomaomao so much! Her cute face with curly hair which smells nice. And she doesn't get angry with me, ever.

Then I forgot what happened after that.

Then it's the fake fire drill.

Then everyone was in a daze for a while.

Then everyone realised it was a fire drill.

Then everyone started to walk to where we were supposed to gather when there's a fire drill.

Then obviously everyone took their time.

Then we reached there like 8 mins later.

Then we found out if there's a fire it'll take 3 hours for the firemen to come.

Then they said we took a very long time.

Then Valerie's friend told me we took such a long time 'cause we know it's a fake drill.

Then liddat already,

then we all were tired,

then we all went back to sleep.

xDDD

My tentmates are Ayushi, Liu Yue and Michelle. Haha. It was hot that time. I wore shirt and shorts and brought my jacket. Thankfully (: First night was difficult to sleep. Kept waking up in the middle of the night. Like this once where I woke up. Ayushi was like snatching Michelle's jacket from her. Like catfight, just that people were sleeping. I realised it was so funny. Hahaha.

That night I missed my loved ones )): I think about my family, my friends. Sentimental me (:

Day 2
Woke up like super early. Hahaha. Packed our tents and then the whole morning was dragged by something which I dunno what.

We took a small hike towards this man made tunnel which we were supposed to go in, find the way out and remember the route. The tunnel was pitch dark. Aiya I though it would be rather easy to find the way out 'cause it's short, but just before I entered the tunnel with my watchmates I got a little scared.

When the instructors closed the door, yeah, pitch dark. Opened your eyes also cannot see anything. I started off well, groping my way through the dark. Then the claustrophobic fear started to envelop me and I couldn't help but start to cry.

I cried very very hard. As though tomorrow will never come.

Liu Yue was in front of me and I got touched as she kept asking me whether I'm okay and held my hands tightly. But I dunno why I just kept crying and crying and crying. LOL. Thank goodness my other team mates heard my cry and shouted for help.

When the instructors opened the door, instantly I stopped crying 'cause there was light. I went out of the tunnel and saw the two Tracys. They were out 'cause they couldn't breathe inside. I decided to go in again 'cause I'll be a loser if I just give up like that.

We managed to find our way out (: And I got even more touched when Lu shuang and another person (sorry I couldn't remember who you are) kept assuring me, "Don't worry Christine, we will protect you"

So sweet of them (:

When I came out, I banged into my healing wound and it started to bleed. Lol. Quite disgusting.

Okay I shall stop here and post this halfway through OBS post xD.
Shall continue it another day.

Aiyo when's the last time I'd blog. Haha.

Hmm okay after I banged onto my wound, got some antiseptic lotion to apply on my wound and the whole class hiked back to camp 2. We had a really short lunch before learning how to paddle and bringing the kayaks down to the beach where we get a taste to try our lifejackets. Everyone wasn't excited in trying their lifejackets and neither do I. ><>< but then changed to Liu Yue but it's actually not a bad thing (:

I actually felt excited that we're going to kayak. LOL. Then we started to paddle for a short distance then I tired already. HAHA. We were told to go inshore as the current is not as strong and did our T-rescue capsize drill aka deep waters capsize drill and boy, it was uncomfy but still I had fun (: Hugging the kayak like a koala. Then the other kayak group didnt do the drill la! 'Cause no time. Then Liu Yue and I have to do. Zzzz. Waste of energy.

We passed Camp 1 and I was already tired. Ohwell half a journey more to go. Went round the island and we only see fences and fences and never ending fences. There were also like huge oil rigs I think near the turning point. Freaky. And the current was strong too. Past round the rounding point and yeah. You can see like fenches and fenches and even more fences! It's like never ending torture. HAHA.
