The reason I didn't blog yesterday is 'cause I was busy the whole day. Literally. Except till the end when I'm really shagged. Then chatted with Alibababa over MSN. Then when they countdown to 2009, I suddenly felt so awake! (: First sms from Ying Zhi. HAHA.
Hmm 2008 is really a great year for me. It's a work hard play hard (I think can play harder) year. Many major stuff happened to me. Well, shall slowly blog about it.
Headache now. LOL. But it's an indication that the last day of 2008 was well spent.
HAHA. 2008 was like a steady and yet sometimes an unsteady year in terms on academics. Sometimes I do well and sometimes I fail. HAHA. I really worked hard to get what I aimed for. I'm proud of myself to get the grades I've gotten 'cause I worked hard for it (: HAHA. Ten pages of maths per day really burns my brain to some extend. Lol. Even closing my eyes I can still see algebra questions. HAHA.
I'M IMBA RIGHT? LOL.

Geography is also another unsteady to steady subject. Failing Term1 and going for remedial in Term2 was super enjoyable with Carissa, ML and Yijie. Usually cracking jokes and not taking the remedial seriously. Haha. We copied one another's answers (: Geography remedial is seriously like a really slack lesson. No stress. Just laughs and gossips. HAHA.
Term1 geography remedial indicated that: Sailors can't do Geography. xD
The number of Sec2 sailors down for Mrs Tan's and Mrs Neo's remedial was seriously LOL. HAHA. But it's fun anyway (:
Hmm still a long way before I end this blog post (: Jiayou readers.
My birthday last year rocked. 'Cause it proved to me something (: Well, once in a while having cream, chocolate and cake on your face is reasonable. Haha. Plus it's my birthday so yeah :D Yi Jie and my birthday 1 day apart good mah.. Save money on cakes.
Thank goodness I didn't get birthday bashes.
Term2 CA came and I was kicked out of Geography remedial. I begged Mrs Tan to let me continue with the remedial 'cause the rest of the sailors were still in so left me and a few others =x Training and remedial was on Wednesday. No geography remedial = going NSC early = a few girls and so many guys. YIKES. LOL.
During this time I enjoyed taking early bus rides to school (:
2008 was also the year that I grew from a POP to a prefect!
I placed my best foot forward in the stuffs I do related to PB when I was a POP. Thankfully my efforts paid off. I was shaking like mad before Ms Su announced whether I passed, failed or got extended. I really have to thank Denise, my mentor for guiding me, helping me etc.
THANKS DENISE! (: I can never say enough. *Wink wink* Thanks for what you did (: I'll work hard and shall not disappoint you.
Mimi and I still remembered the day that we passed was on 25 april 2008 xD The day we ended our last ca2 paper.
The feeling of wearing skirt for the first time is seriously quite nervous. People will be staring at you. In school and on the bus. Yeah on the bus as well. HAHA. And of course, wearing the prefect's badge with pride.
Becoming a prefect in Term2 week6 means wearing the Lifeline shirt in Term2 week9 (: Group 10, HEARTBEATZ <3. The heart is a crucial organ in the body, without the heart, the person will not survive. The heart (student council) pumps blood to supply nutrients to the rest of the body (student body), creating heartbeats. Heartbeatz ends with a Z 'cause we're unique.
HAHA. Debbie and I crapped that out.
Conference was super fun! (: But it's tough being the GL 'cause there are bound to be problems like a barrier between guys and girls. So people like me had to be the bridge over the barrier. HAHA. It taught me lots of stuff. Food was great. My group is great (: though it did not bond very well but I tried my best as a GL. Haha. The tee is nice too.
I encourage all student councils to have conferences, sharing sessions etc. LOL
And what's best you gotta interact with different people from different schools and learning from one another (: and more about their school.

Conference so rocked I cried after that )): 'Cause I missed my group. And the people from other schools that made the conference a success. But I gotta learn from it. If not after every conference I'll cry. HAHA
After conference, the next event was the HILLSONG UNITED CONCERT.
They rocked the whole Max Pavillion! Haha. I regretted not getting the freebie. Hillsong United's pouchbag, notebook, bottle of water, light sticks.. Haiz. 'Cause I rushed in.
But the songs they sang made most of us jump and scream and have sore throat in the end :) I still like Hosanna. Along with One Way, The Time Has Come, Take It All, etc. My 5 bucks was worth it. I think even if it's 10, it's still worth it. No one should miss such a concert like that. I also have a chance to exercise by jumping and clapping (: Clapped till my hands gone numb. LOL.
Well, June I can remember was two things. PB and sailing. I was kinda shocked when Thahira told me I'm an exco nominee. Didn't seem to believe her. Haha. Till I recieved the email stating I'm one. Had to complete questions given by the teachers, filling in stuffs. Typing speech, doing portfolio etc. I got help from Siddharth in typing my speech 'cause he did a speech before and his speech was like WHOA. Long but it's super good.
Therefore, I recycled his speech and made mine the most longest among all the rest of the exco nominees even cutting away 1 or 2 paragraphs. HAHA. Thank you 2e2 for cheering for me (: And the rest of my friends who did after I made my speech. Haha. Greatly appreciated your support (:
National Sentosa Byte and Optimist Championship was my first regatta in June (: It's a five day race. Couldn't barely wake up in the morning. Haha. This regatta was where I realised something that is still with me today :D I miss early morning MRT rides to Pasir Ris with Mars. Then we four will reach NSC super early 'cause we're kiasu. Then MRT rides back to Aljunied with Mars also.
Eating energy bars out at sea for 4 days. Did not went out on the 4th day due to the lack of wind. Racing is very fun. You'll get to know who are the sailors whose attitude is horrible and other sailors from other schools. Mainly younger than me then I can be their big sister (: Like Edward, Benjamin etc. And Roy! ((: Racing gives you the adrenaline rush and therefore my blogadd. In my first ever race I was disqualified 'cause I broke a rule =.=
But chatting at NSC's really cool before the regatta with the music of Leona Lewis, PARAMORE, Jesse Mccartney (no stress no stress no stress) and more. And plucking weeds from the sand and making rings. HAHA. And Mr Peh treating us coconut juice to cool us down. Plus looking at some cute Japanese sailors. Yeah this regatta is an international regatta. The last race rocked 'cause I 'anti-socialled' the rest of the fleet. After the regatta was the school's band concert.
I was selected to take part in Interschools in July. Just before that was my exco interview. Totally screwed it 'cause I cannot get any answers out of my head.
Interschools. I had fun (: 7 races in two days. And my score fluctuated a lot. In the end, 18th out of 28 places. HAHA. Roy helped me in my last race before we went back to shore. ML and I kept making jokes and laughing when we got close to the committee boat. Made friends with Trena (: I almost got a Did Not Start score as we were concentrated on talking and couldn't reach the starting line. Thank goodness Roy told me.
This was when I first sailed during a storm. Yes with thunder, rain and strong wind. My cap almost flew out of my head. Drifted a lot, got a lousy score for that race. Aiya nevermind :]
Third and fourth day of interschools was relaxing. Although we still have to return back to school which was annoying. Burnt and bushed. Headed straight to NSC after that and walked to the breakwaters to see the byte regatta (: Ahh. Super exciting.
To sum it up, Interschools was really an enjoyable experience. Did not have sailing for a month, keeping me busy was Prefects' Investiture.
I still remembered Ms Su told me the result of me not getting into exco. "I regretted to tell you that you're not in the PB exco for year 2008 to 2009". I expected it lah.. So I don't feel sad. Just treat it like a learning experience (: Mimi also did not get accepted. It's okay. We have each other (:
Prefect's Investiture. LOL. The rehearsels were like hot and sweaty. And painful 'cause of court shoes. And going home late. I was kinda happy I got St Hilda's as my school in charge. Haha. I got to interact with Clarence and Joyce and more about their PB.
After that, it was mugging for term3 ca.
And after that, sailing resumed. I converted into byte. It was heck scary to sail out alone. Capsize after capsize. Still, it was not so bad. Mugging for exam starts.
Mug finish already, back to sailing. This time I could not upright the byte when I capsized. I got huge scoldings and suannings from my coach. So horrible. And it's very piercing. He did not let me sail for like such a long time, kept saying, "you cannot sail!", "you cannot sail for interschools in april. It's coming very soon you know" and more. But then he doesn't mean it. LOL. He said I cannot sail 'till after interschools 'cause I have no strength and whatever.
Like what am I doing now? Still sailing! :)
And I really have to thank those who motivated me a lot not to give myself up. Yeah, that was one of my darkest period in 2008. I went to Vismitha's gym to work out and saw some sickening aunties. Then went to ML's gym as well. I built up my muscles. I have to thank God as well (: Uncle Tony then let me tried when ML couldn't move 'cause the traveller was loose. =.= I capsized twice and managed to upright it. Overjoyed! From then on, Uncle Tony allowed me to take a byte out. So no sickening days on his boat. HA.
ML's still sailing so it's okay. HAHA.
My scoldings did not stop there. I wasn't performing well under strong wind. But then it's okay 'cause I'm better in light wind. Nothing's impossible with God (:
Okay no more talking about sailing. So it's RGS PSS (: SIDNEY/SYDNEY! Lol I dunno which is the right one. Nevermind. The people there are still the same.
I like it a lot. Like attending other school's conference. Didn't know what to expect. We did not regret not helping out for our school's open house which falls on that day. I made more friends. Some of which I still keep in contact with. Yeah just like conference, I got to know more things about other schools.
Like Hwa Chong track and field =.= HAHA. Go nut, get a gold and get a treat from me (:

Hmm, nothing major happened after that already.. Just maybe the school's 55th anniversary.
Till the end of the year. I had this major emotional roller coaster. It was really horrible. But then I know who are those worthy ones to keep by my side.
Maybe this situation is what I really need.

Hmm 2009, new challenges to face. Helping POP mates to pass and maintaining good relationships with my friends and most importantly, not to neglect them. I understand how it feels to get neglected. Yeah. So I'll try to be a great friend in 2009.
And of course, accomplishing my new year resolutions (: And and motivating my dear sec4 friends for O's ((: Ahem. LOL. To someone, remember, one year left then you can be a saddist and laugh at me 'cause I'm suffering. HAHA. But after that it's my turn 'cause you'll be suffering. :DDD and my mega chocochip cookie.. I havent eat it yet 'cause I got a slight sore throat. HAHA.
Haiz. Mr Peh not in charge of Sailing anymore.. He went an extra mile just to make us feel better. He certainly cares for us. Like free tau hueys and coconut juice and staying with us till we all went home after sailing. And talking to us literally about everything in the world. Okay. Most stuffs. Sighhhhh D: Compared to other school's sailing teachers. Ahem. Big difference. ><
