AHHH! SO HAPPY! :D
When Elena smsed me, I was reading her message at the sailing centre. My whole team rejoiced (: LALALALALALA. Thanks Elena. Whooo!
Yesterday
I was unprepared for yesterday's training. Well, I launched with Mardhiah and Madelaine. The wind was really strong ): Im not so well built and I have lesser experience in handling the byte 'cause Uncle Tony didn't let me sail for 1 and a half and another half day and another half.. Which is two and a half days. Plus yesterday and today is full day training. Morning + afternoon.
But now he finally let me sail the boat. Full day (: Yay. I proved to him that I can.. But still have to keep training and get ready for competitions. I try not to be complacent.
Well, the wind was strong as I mentioned earlier. First race was good but got hit by Mardhiah's boom. Second race when I went downwind, I capsized =x I uprighted the boat and went down 1 metre, I capsized again. The second capsized was really scary. Uncle Tony was back there helping Andria and Zai because they capsized too. I was alone and the boat drifted from me. Im not a good swimmer, I hate swimming, but however, I managed to swim and held the mast (longest metal pole which holds the sail vertically) and I pulled myself to upright the boat again. I was already exhausted, not completely. But you can hear me pant.
I was hoping Uncle Tony will go back really soon. He swapped people on the powerboat with others. He kept adding races after races and many sausages. My mind was, 'Oh my goodness! I'm so tired!' . Plus I kept bua tou (fall) or I'm not fast enough when I tack from the starboard (right) side to the port (left) side. I forgotten to bring my watch. When 5 seconds to start I already drifted up the starting line - Black Flag Disqualification. I beared down and start to beat upwind. I dont really bother so much. I sailed my best but always the last.
Ohwell. I did not have any regrets. I'm happy Uncle Tony did not give up on me. Like last time when he said he did. But he let me sail and I did it (: I told him I will work harder. And I know my friends will support me! (:
We completed our final race (I think). I was about to gybe. Mardhiah also about to gybe. My boat collided with hers and it heeled a lot until I capsized. Uhh! I uprighted the boat in front of Uncle Tony (finally) and got onto my boat and he told us to went up to the yellow uhh whatever you call it. The biggie or something. I stuck around with Mardhiah and Mei Lin because if something happens to me, they will be there to help me. Finally went back to shore. Ached everywhere and went home. Did not join Mardhiah and Zakiah for Mcdonalds (ate that for breakfast. Eww). Slept at 8.30pm. Complaining to Potato. (: Kept stretching for the acid to go away.
Did I mention when I hiked upwind, I pointed my boat too much until the boat was in irons and I was in my hiking position and fell into the water :O I got up into the boat and continued sailing. Second time was when I wanted to release the kicker before I round the mark. I jerked the rope and it didnt budge. Im not sure why I fell into the water yet again =x Two different races. Uhh. Tiring.
Today
We decided to stay at home and eat our breakfast rather than eating fast food before going sailing. I ate noodles and after eating, I almost puke. My stomach was churning really badly.. As if I'm having stomach flu again.
Never mind, I decided to go sailing in hopes of becoming better. Saw three ugly people on the bus. 2 jammed up everyone and the person next to me taking 1/4 of my seat. Urghhh. Only Afiqa was there. Plus I'm late.. Afiqa accompanied me to 7 - eleven to buy salonpas. LOL. Muscle ache like kns.
Cabbed to NSC then my stomach was half churning half not. A bit unwell. I went to tell Uncle Tony and he said I should not have came for training ): I helped ML rig up her boat and went to asked Uncle Tony if he is okay with me sailing after lunch if I feel better and thankfully, he said okay :D I went to join in the theory with the rest. Uncle Tony talked about the three main control lines and he talked about the CII with the traveller on opposite sides and talked about lasers, optimists and spilling wind. Miraculously, my stomach was better after the theory and I told Uncle Tony about it and he told me to rig up :)
Okay after I rigged, the sky was gloomy :) Towards the land was filled with dark clouds but towards the sea was with bright sunlight. We went for lunch and I changed. We were suppose to launch around 1.30pm but by 1.20pm, it starting to storm. Haha. cat1! Heng someone not in town if not he wont talk to me.
I was talking with the juniors and they starting playing with names. E.g. Like replacing the first letter of the name with some other letter. Like P,
Christine - Phristine
Mei Lin - Pei Lin (Palin)
Denise - (go figure out yourself)
Then we started the letter F. Haha. Mei Lin's name was changed to Fei Lin and Uncle Tony's name was changed to Funcle Fony. Then Safiah went to add some other words like Funny Funky Funcle Fony F_____ (go add in youself). WE WERE ALL LAUGHING LIKE MAD :O Wanted to play Old Maid but there weren't enough cards :) Then Mardhiah went to take her CSP book and I was laughing at it as it reminded me of primary school. HAHA. I also suggested ML about her maths :) All too worthwhile.
The rain stopped around 2.30pm ): Eunice and Mardhiah were walking to see the former's optimist sail. Mei Lin said she can piggyback me and I jumped onto her (sorry ML if your back hurts but its so fun like you're the horse :D wheeeeeee) and piggybacked me halfway. Some guys saw us but who cares. Haha. Then okay lor. Went back and after a short while, Uncle Tony made us launch. Well, I dont wanna launch. I still have this insecure feeling inside me. But well, what the boss says we have to follow. We lauched around 3.30pm to 3.40pm.
I was the last to launch. As usual. And last to reach the place. Like duh. The insecure feeling was still inside me. I was afraid to gybe. Scared could not bear away or something. Uncle Tony told us to beat upwind and come down for a warm up. Good. I saw that the sky was getting from bright to gloomy again.

Went upwind. Super comfortable. Went downwind also comfortable. I did not want to race. I dont think the pressure is good for me yet. When I went downwind, I saw quite a number of sailors heading upwind again. Lasers and bytes. I followed suit. It was super comfortable for me. I really enjoyed the wind. Just a little bit of hiking out and a little bit of bearing away quite a bit. I was able to go upwind smoothly. Uh. I almost surpassed this guy but in the end I didn't. Beared away and went downwind. The boom swung over my head and it kinda shocked me.
The current was strong and I did not wanna race. I saw Uncle Tony planted two marks at the bottom and was feeling scared lah. But still saw lasers and bytes went upwind. I went upwind also. It started to drizzle. Laser guy was chasing after me real quick. I tacked and went over the lay line by quite a lot and he surpassed me -.-'
Went downwind again. Very nice. Soon the laser guy and I were at the bottom mark, ready to beat upwind again when Uncle Tony signalled us to go back to shore. The laser guy, one optimist boy and I were the only ones close to the bottom mark towards SAF - east. The rest of the fleet were either going downwind from the top mark, at the top mark or going to the top mark. Top mark towards city area - west. So they were all 'clustered' together.
I saw the fleet went back to shore together. I was like alone, with a laser guy and optimist boy. The current was strong - west to east therefore making the three of us rather difficult to get back to shore. The wind died down. Uncle Tony told me to go towards the shore as the current was not as strong.
Then I saw a RAINBOW behind. It was awesome. If I have a camera with me I will definetely take it. Really big from SAF to the middle of the sea. I pointed to Uncle Tony to look back. He did. He turned to me and I smiled to him and continued sailing. He went to tow the three pathetic optimist sailors back to shore.
I wish to see the rainbow with someone. But it faded away too soon.
Well, the rainbow indicated to me that it is a blessing in disguise. It was dark and a rainbow appeared. God was answering to me as I sang a song which goes along the line, "With Christ in the vessel we could smile at the storm as we go sailing home" :))
After the optimists were gone, I find myself the furthest boat out at sea. Laser dude went in quite a lot. It was like a 'dejavu' for me. LOL. Last year's dream. I dreamt that I was in an optimist. The waters were gloomy the sky was gloomy I'm the only one out at sea. Then suddenly one whole fleet of bytes came and Sa was in there. LOL. I always dream about her >.>
Thank goodness Uncle Tony came to my rescue and towed me and the laser dude back to shore (: Yay. At least I wont be the last one to get onto shore as there was another laser guy and byte guy close to shore in the waters. In the end, I dunno how the heck they went up so quickly and I was the last one left in the water =x. Uhh. So freaky!
Zai helped me and hurry unrigged my boat and ML said I unrigged really fast today :DD Haha. She was telling me some school launched so late, sailed really near to shore and went back to shore early. I saw them at shore when I was beating upwind for the last time. They live a good life. Sheesh. But it's okay.. (:
Then briefing and bathed at 6pm. Really late. ML fetched us home and we talked about Obama's victory and it is really sad hearing that his grandmother voted before she passed away. Dropped off at Pasir Ris and bought bubble tea and went home (:
Today is such a great day. Although it did not start well, But however, it ended err.. Well? HAHA. For those who can get it, GOOD!
